The University of Connecticut women's cross country captured second place at the NCAA Northeast Regional on Friday afternoon at Hammonasset State Park. The Huskies automatically qualified for the NCAA Championships as the top two teams of each regional stamp their ticket to Louisville, Ky. for the Championships. This marks the first time that the program will participate in the Championships as a team.
