Two University of Connecticut student-athletes were honored by the American Athletic Conference this spring for outstanding athletic and academic performances throughout the year. Senior men's track and field standout Jesse Chapman was named a winner of the 2013-14 American Athletic Conference Institutional Men's Scholar-Athlete Scholarship, while senior rower Julia Roth was selected as a winner of the 2013-14 American Athletic Conference Institutional Women's Scholar-Athlete Scholarship, as announced by the conference's Academic Affairs Committee.
